Yugi

If there was ever someone meant to play Duel Monsters, Yugi is the one. Besides being a really good player, he can also call on the power of a mystical ancient Egyptian artifact. When he activates the Millennium Puzzle, Yugi is filled with its magical energies and becomes Yami Yugi, his much more powerful alter ego, and becomes extremely confident and courageous.

Grandpa

A former world traveller, Grandpa knows everything there is to know about games, but he is especially well versed in the ways of Duel Monsters. Grandpa teaches Yugi about believing in the "heart of the cards."

Kaiba

Awealthy CEO of a multinational high-tech corporation, Kaiba's real passions lie in the world of Duel Monsters. Using his ruthless business drive and acumen, Kaiba seeks to crush any who would challenge him. Although he does not like Yugi, he reluctantly respects his gaming skill.

Maximillion Pegasus

Sophisticated and cultured, Pegasus is also the creator of the Duel Monsters game. However, he also has many dark secrets. His left eye was replaced with an ancient Egyptian artifact called the "Millennium Eye," which gives him strange magical powers. Pegasus modelled Duel Monsters after a mysterious Egyptian game that is thousands of years old.

Joey

Once a wild, tough street kid, Joey learned the value of friendship and became Yugi's best friend. Although Joey is a bit hot-headed and sometimes acts before he thinks, he does have a heart of gold and would do anything for his friends or his sister, Serenity.

Téa Gardner

Among Yugi's friends, Téa acts as the voice of reason. A childhood friend of Yugi's, she is the group of friends' biggest cheerleader - always giving encouragement to everyone, convincing them to believe in themselves and to never give up.

Tristan Taylor

Tristan is another old friend of Yugi's. Even though they bicker with each other every once in a while, they have always stood together when the chips are down. He is sometimes quick to panic, but when it comes down to it, he is also willing to do whatever it takes to support his friends.

Mai Valentine

Mai is as pretty as she is dangerous and that's pretty dangerous! One of the top duelists in the world, she fights only for the riches. Posh and frequently self-absorbed, she is not above using her charm to advance her situation.

Millenium Scale	Shadi	Shadi has the Millenium Scale which possesses the power to determine a person's destiny in their afterlife. The person's heart is placed on one end and the feather of truth is placed on the other. If the person's heart weighs heavier than the feather of truth, which means the person is full of sins, becomes eaten by a monster from the Abyss. When a person's heart is lighter than the feather of truth, that person is allowed to pass into paradise in their afterlife.	-
Millenium Tauk	Isis	Isis owns the Millenium Tauk which allows her to see into the future and she can modify the future and the course of the future anyway she likes.	-
Millenium Rod	Malik	Malik, brother of Isis, owns the Millenium Rod. The rod contains the memory of Yami Yugi. When Malik faints, an evil spirit takes over him. The Millenium Rod can transform into a small knife.	???
